SGAMPER set a fast pace to well into the stretch where she tired, but finished gamely. SIR LAWNFAL, off slowly, closed a big gap in the early racing, but tired finally. The latter forced a fast pace all the way and finished fast. DOC McMAHON began slowly, but came fast through the stretch. MODESTA was close up all the way and ran a good race. WINNIE OWYNN was away poorly and closed a big gap. MARY MAUD CARR raced prominently in the early running and was eased up in the stretch. The latter made up ground and finished fast and gamely. STONE AGE, after racing closer up than usual, was tiring at the finish. BENCH MANAGER lost considerable ground on the first turn and was rushed Tip into the lead, but tired right at the finish. FUROR set a fast pace for three-quarters and quit. "LITTLE ANN ran poorly.
