Won driving; second and third the same. HARRY B., racing in much improved form and benefited by the fast early pace, raced" to the leaders in the stretch and, heading them, outstayed R. E. CLARK. The latter set the pace and had to be much used in the early running and, racing RUBY into defeat, finished gamely. RUBY had much the best of the start and showed much speed for a half mile before tiring. JOHN Q. KELLY began slowly, but closed a gap. WAR IDOL and YOUNG ADAM had no mishaps. Won driving; second and third the same. COLORED BOY, well ridden, was saved for the first three-quarters and took the lead in the stretch turn, but had to be ridden hard from near the end to outstay JUPITER. The latter showed the most speed early and seemed done when reaching the stretch, but came again near the end. OPULENT ran well and had a rough race. OLD BOURBON ran well. Won handily; second and third driving. LADY FINNELL, away well, followed ADA BLACKJACK closely and, in a hard drive, passed her and won going away through the last sixteenth. ADA BLACKJACK showed the most speed to the stretch and had an advantage at the start, but tired in the last sixteenth. TWILIGHT HOUR, away poorly, closed an immense gap and was running gamely at the finish. SARI ran a good race. BACKBITER was practically left at the post and closed a big gap.
