VERBENA raced close up all the way and finished resolutely. LOUISE WAGNEH quit after racing in closest pursuit for a half mile. POLYCHBESTY closed a gap. MABEL EVEREST fell lame. Won handily; second and third driving. AUNTIE MILLIN took the lead soon after the start and, setting a fast pace all the way, was c6ing her best at the finish to withstand the challenge of LADY CHOCO. The latter was outpaced in the early running, but finished fast and gamely. THEO raced close un all the way and stood a hard Stretch drive gamely, but could not get to the leaders. LORKNA MARCELLIA ran out on the last turn and lost much ground, but ran a good race. MERRIMAC made up ground from a slow beginning. HEAVY ARTILLERY quit after forcing the pace to the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. BESSIE LEIGnTON was badly outpaced to the stretch, but stood a hard stretch drive gamely and won drawing clear. LIEGE was as good as left at the post, but closed up steadily and tcok the lead on the stretch turn, then tired in the last seventy yards. MOLINERO set a good early pace and raced gamely in the stretch drive. LOTHAIR finished well. JACK FROST ran a game race, but tired. Scratched S3574 Famous Blue, 107. Won handily; second and third driving. IDLE SETH, well ridden, sprinted into a good lead at once and won all the way, but was doing his best at the finish. DELLA ROBBIA raced in closest pursuit all the way and finished fast and gamely. BOLIVAR BOND raced forwardly from the start, but could not improve his position in the stretch. BRUNETH was far back in the early running and closed a big gap. HOLE CARD, away none too well, showed much speed to the stretch where he tired. Scratched 83335 Kosman, 107. PROCEEDS, racing tin closer than usual, took the lead in the stretch, but could not withstand the challenge of the winner. FRED KINNEY raced prominently all the way, but tired in the final drive. DOBSON was saved in the early running and came fast when called on in the stretch, but failed to quite get tip. WONG BOK set the early pace and finished gamely, but tiring. BATTLE SHOT, close up in the early running, quit in the stretch drive. FLYING PRINCE and BELLE AMIE ran bad races. Scratched 83575 Haleakala. 112. Overweight Battle Shot, 2 pounds.
