BILLY WELCH came with a rush in the final drive and was going fastest of all at the finish. DESERT GOLD closed an immense gap. GLOOM GIRL finished well. TOP O TH MORNING was saved to the last turn, then slipped through on the inside at the head of the stretch and, standing a hard stretch drive gamely, won in the last stride. DOUBLE T.. close up all the way, finished fast and would have won in a few more strides. SIMPLICITY set a good pace nearly all the way, but tired in the last twenty yards. BOYS BELIEVE ME forced tho paco to the last eighth and tired. HYSTERIA finished well. SIR LAWNFAL was always outrun. Scratched 84425 Holly Boy, 107. Overweight Sir Lawnfal, 4 pounds. Won driving; second and third the same. FOPPYE began slowly and was rushed up on the outside and took the lead on the last turn, but was doing her best at the finish. JOE TAG dropped back after going a half mile, but came again in the last sixteenth and finished fast. LAVINIA was outpaced in the early running, but came fast in the stretch drive and would have been second in a few more strides. SEQUEL was coming fast next to the inner rail when she had to pull up and might have been tho winner with a clear course.-ONTARIO raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and would have been closer up, but for a wide stretch turn. F.LIAS O. raced close up all the way and finished gamely. DORIUS ran in improved form and only tired in the final strides. MARGARET WARE clofed an immense gap from a slow beginning. STONE AGE also made a f"st finish. LIEUT. COLONEL ran much below his true form. WONG BOK raced well for a half mile and quit badly.
