BLUE STREAK AND QUANAH Break Track Records at Akron Jockey J. Berg Rides Three Winners. AKRON, Ohio, Oct. 9. Racing to his best form and standing a hard stretch drive gamely, E. E. Whites Blue Streak established a new track record of 1 :41 for the mile in the fifth race, when he just got up to beat Bright Trash and Cromwell at Northampton Park this afternoon. Bright Trash held on with good courage and disposed of the pacemaker, Cromwell, handily for second place in the final test. Another track record was shattered when Quanah led his opponents throughout the fourth and ran the three-quarters in 1:14. He was never in trouble. Silk Sox was much the best of the others with Waywass-amo a distant but easy third. Peter Combs and Plaid also showed the way throughout in their respective races, but The Coyote and Havana Electric ccme from behind entering the stretch to earn brackets. Jockey J. Berg carried the riding honors with three winners for the afternoon. The good apprentice, K. Noe, piloted two of his mounts to victory. At the conclusion of this meeting, L. C. Everitt will ship to Columbus, Ohio, and jockey Noe will accompany the stable. T. E. Keating claimed Uncle Velo out-of the sixth raco for ?1,000.
