LAT0NIA NOTES Mat Evans, who had charge of the Casino at Havana last winter, was an arrival from New York to witness the big race. Judge Joseph B. David of the Superior Court of Chicago, arrived Thursday for the purpose of witnessing the International race. Most of the eastern delegation to witness the International Special, are due tomorrow. Several special trains from Chicago are also due to reach here tomorrow; Ike Weil, owner of The Runt, Tip. Toe Inn and other horses, arrived today from Chicago and announced that he had re-engaged Jim Everman to train his stable. From Jacksonville, Florida, came Fred Auerbach, formerly extensively interested in the Charleston course. He stated that the Miami track was almost completed and that few details remain unfinished.
