Won driving; second and third the same. ROYAL DUCK, well ridden, was saved close up and, passing WIDGEON in the stretch, finished gamely and outstayed NORTH WALES. The latter, after being under early restraint, finished fast and was wearing the winner down. WIDGEON set a good pace, but tired in the final eighth.- KITTY TROXELL was outrun, but finished well. DAMASK was outrun, but closed a big gap and was gaining at the finish. TOP NOTCH tired after making a challenge in the final quarter. ETHEREAL BLUE led to the last half and tired badly. TRIUMPH, racing to his true form today, took the lead quickly and easily held it to the end. Gray GABLES was badly outrun for the first half mile, but came on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and was gaining slowly on the winner at the end. SIR GLEN raced close up throughout and Jield BUCADO safe in the drive through the stretch. The latter can do much better. VEXATION pulled up lame. Overweight Vexation, 3 pounds. SCOOP set a good pace, but tried to run out on the first turn and did run out on the second turn and ran out through the stretch and finished fast next to the outside rail. SUPPLIANT finished well, although outrun to the stretch. MINTO II. tired after racing well to the last eighth. SOGGARTH AROON was outpaced by SCOOP and quit. ED PENDLETON tired early.
