Paulina and Mamie OJane also had the speed of their fields throughout, but the latter was doing her best at the end to earn the verdict-Leslie held his opponents safe all the last quarter of the curtain raiser, as did Copyright in the concluding dash. It was only after a thrilling stretch drive that Double Shot lasted to beat Frank Sumpter in the sixth race. Most favorable conditions again prevailed and a good crowd witnessed the sport. J. A.
