MYRTLE BELLE, close up from the start, saved ground on the turn nnd took a long lead in the stretch and was tiring at the end, but outstayed CONFLUENTE through the final sixteenth. CONFLUENTS, close up from the start, came again in the stretch and finished fast. SE.A VIDE came with a rush on the outside and outgamed MIXTURE at the end. The latter, away well, worked his way up on the inside and, finbhing fast, would have won in another stride. SUN AUDIENCE was crowded back at the start, but found a. clear course and finished fast on the outside. NELLIE GREY raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and tired. NIGHT MARCH was shuffled back ou the far turn. REPULSE was away badly. The latter set a fast pace and raced CONTENTMENT into defeat, but swerved out in the stretch and tired. CONTENTMENT ran well from the start, but tired in the final sixteenth. PLEASANT MEMORIES displayed high speed and set a fast pace from the start, but tired right at thr end. FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE was rushed to the leaders and finished fast on the inside.
