Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. IVORY began quickly and, racing into a safe load, held it gamely, although tiring at the finish. WUHU was close up from the start while under restraint and was gaining cn the winner at the end. WESTOVER was taken back and saved, then came fast in the stretch and finished gamely. CLEAR VIEW ran well to the last eighth and tired. PARMACHENEE BELLE closed a big gap in the last quarter. TRAPSTICK showed speed and jumped well, but tired. WARRENTON went down behind at the first jump and nearly fell, then moved up gamely and finished well. BARLEYCORN moved after the leader with a rush when a little more than a half mile from home and challenged OWEN TUDOR, but was tiring slightly and appeared beaten when he stumbled and fell in landing at the last obstacle. SARATOGA MAJE showed much speed and raced into a good lead, but tired near the end. COURAGEOUS ran well and finished gamely but was held safe by the two leaders. "Won driving; second and third the samc. TEX MINUTES, fractious at the barrier, was outrun for the first five-eighths, then moved up steadily on the outside and, wearing the leaders down, headed DR. OMARA and was drawing clear at the end. DR. OMARA began fast and, showing the most speed to the last eighth, hung on tenaciously when challenged. GOLDEN SPHERE raced well and showed marked improvement. FLYING CLOUD was close up all the way, but was tiring badly at the end. ROMAN BACHELOR was eased up when beaten. REPARATION quit badly.
