TO OFFER SUITABLE PRIZE Col. Matt Winn Willing to Stage Special Between Sarazen, Chil-howee and Wise Counsellor. LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct 22. Concerning the possibility of a special race over the Churchill Downs track November 8, the closing day of the meeting, between Sarazen, Chilhowee and Wise Counsellor, general manager Matt J. Winn said: Vlf.the owners of the three colts decide on a sweepstakes, weights and distance, Ill gladly offer a suitable prize." John C. Gallaher continues anxious to have Chilhowee to meet Sarazen and Wise Counsellor again and would be receptive to any arrangements that would be suggested by the connections of the two other crack colts. The statement credited to trainer Max Hirsch that Sarazen was not an "iron horse" and could not be expected to race every week, drew some caustic remarks from many trainers here, in view of Chilhowees racing the last week of the Latonia meeting. He started in the International Special, as did Sarazen, and followed by a worlds record-breaking performance at a mile and an eighth two days later. He culminated with another worlds record-breaking showing over the trying mile and three-quarters in the Latonia Championship on the closing day. In between these starts he was worked a mile and a half, and also a fast mile. Chilhowee has so far not shown any symptoms of injury as a result of his strenuous efforts in a limited period of time.
