SLATE, close up from the start, wore the leaders down in the stretch and was drawing clear at the end. TAUDLANE showed high early speed and, setting a good pace, raced MAJOR FINLEY into defeat and tired. EYELASH worked his way up on the outsde and made a fast finish. MAJOR FINLEY f-howed early speed, but quit in the filial drive. COTTAGER raced well all the way. EAGER began somewhat slowly and was outrun for the first half, but steadily improved his position on the outside in the stretch and, finishing with a rush, got up to win going away. MACLEAN raced close up all the way and outgamed AMOR PATRIAE in the final stride. AMOR PATRIAE showed the most early speed, but tired. HYPERION came through the stretch with a rush.
