JOELLA J. began slowly, but worked her way up steadily on the outside and, passing the leaders in the stretch, drew away into a cantering lead. CAPTAIN" COSTIGAN ran a good race all the way and finished well. AVILD GOOSE made a challenge when turning for home, but tired badly near the end. SWEEPSTAKES finished fast. MARIE MAXIM tired in the final eighth. PETER PIPER set a fast pace and quit. DESPAIR saved ground on the first turn and raced gamely, but tired in the final eighth. SEXTANT ran a good race and saved ground on the turns. GOLD MOUNT closed a gap and finished fast. WITHOUT was running fast at the end. CALEMBOUR tired badly. GLADYS A, came with a rush through the stretch and was going best of all at the end. DANCING FOOL followed the winner closely to the stretch, but tired badly. LITTLE AMMIE ran well and saved ground on all the turns. ROSA YETA could not improve her position under hard riding. FLAMING AAIItE began slowly.
