THIRTY-ONE NOMINATIONS Received for New Years Handicap, Opening Feature of Fair Grounds Meeting, NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 20. The Fair Grounds opening fixture, the New Years Handicap, with 5,000 added, to which nominations closed yesterday, recei-ed an entry of thirty-one horses. The principal nominators were the Greentree stable, with six; S. N. Holman, with four, and the Idle Hour Stock Farm, also the same number. The list contains some of the best in these parts, including Donaghee. The race is at a mile and and a sixteenth and it should bring, together at least a dozen to the post.
