- AUSTRALIAN TURFMAN HERE SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.. Dec. 26. Among the recent arrivaJs here from Australia is Harry W. Torr, a prominent owner and trainer of race horses from Melbourne, who is making his first visit to this country. Mr. Torr is accompanied by jockey Tim Simmons, one of the best light riders in Australia. Simmons expects to remain in the United States for about a year, but Mr. Torrs sojourn will not be longer than two or three weeks.
