J. E. WIDENERS STABLES NEW YORK. N. Y., Dec. 2G. Joseph E. Widener, the Philadelphia sportsman, and a member of the Jockey Club, is planning a rather extensive racing campaign for next year. He will be represented by a large and powerful stable in France, trainer Jerry Welsh having a string of twenty-nine horses in winter quarters at Chantilly, sixteen of which are coming two-year-olds. His American establishment will also be strong, with the crack stayer, Altawood, at the head. G. IT. Keene is the trainer of Mr. Wideners American ctable.
