AVAHKEENA. away well and racing in closest pursuit to the stretch, saved much ground when coming into the stretch and, taking the lead, drew away in the last eighth under hard riding. SILENT LILLIAN, racing in improved form, closed a gap and made a game finish. GOLDEN GREEN- finished fast from a slow beginning. WINSOME LADY was away slowly and made up ground. TIGHT dropped back after going the first quarter, but saved much ground on the stretcli turn and tired near the end. RACHEL POTTER raced forwardly throughout. STAR GIRL, KARONGA, MIT and CANDY STICK quit in the stretch. STORM CLOUD closed a gap. KARONGA set the early pace and quit. STAR GIRL tired.
