LOUIS, 111., May 4.— The Fair-mount Jockey Club, which was building the race track at Collinsville, 111., only six miles from here, has been sold. Those purchasing a controlling interest stated that it is their intention to complete construction of the racing plant on which work was ceased last year. It is said that those who took over the stock were Edward F. Simms of Paris, Ky. and New York, Joseph L. Rhinock of New York, and Jerome B. Respess of Erlanger, Ky., all well known horse breeders and j owners. The price involved was said to be 00,000. The site of the enterprise is on a hard road highway, ideally located and only twenty minutes by automobile from St Louis.
