RETURNS HOME TO ENGLAND Clarence Hailey Much Impressed With Stock of Nursery Stud to Be Sold May 15. LEXINGTON, Ky., May 4.— Clarence Hailey, after ten days here, departed this morning for his home in London. "I came out for the purpose, primarily, of seeing the stock to be sold in the Belmont dispersal," he said. "I have seen it and I have advised my clients that it is so superior to the ideas they had of it that I doubt if they will be able to acquire any of the animals they desire at the limits they have placed. "I had hoped to be here to personally execute commissions, but upon receipt of cablegrams from home advising me of the coming of business from Australia and India and the arrival of patrons from those countries, I am compelled to hurry back. "However, I have left instructions as to bids. I am greatly impressed with Kentucky and its wonderful breeding establishments, and I have it in my mind to return to your good country ere long. By all means, I shall send out my son, now twenty-one, to see your horses, farms and tracks and be broadened by the vision. I have found the people here most hospitable and charming and my visit has been so pleasant that I must say it is the first trip of my life experienced without homesickness."
