HIGH STAR, away well and saving grcund on the turns, came fast through the stretch sno outgamed SURPRISE PARTY in the final drive. The latter swerved over sharply after the start and caused a jam. then came on the outside when entering the sterteh and, passing AICILLA. fin ished fast. A! CII.LA showed the most early speed, but tired. ESPINO wss .Inifflcl back at the start and finished with a rush on the outside. WARATAH was a forward contender from Ihe stsrt snd moved up menacingly after entering the stretch, but tired near the end. WEDLOCK set the early pace and finished well. URANUS was always outrun.
