Dick Welles Selections At Havre De Grace DUBRIC— LANARK— DIGNIFY DlBRIC has been showing much promise in his recent races and is the one expected to graduate here. He was getting into winning form at Howie and should be ready to earn 1 brackets today. LANARK was expected to show very well last year, but was never able to win a race. Against this company he ought to be able to get the place money. DIGNIFY showed brief early speed in his last Bowie race and may be the one to save the show. CAPTAIN JACK-SWKKPINK ANN — THERESA JOAN. CAPTAIN JACK, which raced so well over the Miami course, is given the call over the sixteen other juveniles which contest in the second race. This six-edy son of Tea Caddy was only out of the money once in his Miami races and appears to !*■ the class of this bunch. Sweeping Ann scored a win and a second at Howie and in her present good form is the one expected tt» give CACTI AX JACK the most trouble. THERESA JOAN is still a maiden but is nearly ready for a winning race. If she were to run back to her last effort would be the one to get the show money. EVERGLADE— DREAM MAKER— STRUT MISS LIZZIE. In the third race the consistent BVKEV GLADE looks like the best play. He defeated some fast ones in his only Howie race and should be able to beat this bunch as easily. DREAM MAKBR has not l een to the races this year but is repeated to l e in fine fettle and he can be expected to give a good account of himself. STRUT MISS LIZZIE has been resting up since the Havana meeting where she raced with fair success. She is a speedy sprinter and her chances look pood for taking down the- show enil of the purse. I NG RI 1»— V L Y I. E A F— H A KB. Three-yea r-olel fillies meet in the fourth number, known as the Kid Hoots Purse, and here the speedy 1XGIUD is picked to be the winner. She raced against the best juveniles last year and was always able to hold her own. Aeording to reports she has filled out nicely and has been taking to her workouts in a very satisfactory manner. Should she be in the condition she is claimed to be, she should just romp off with this race. The Whitney e-wned FLYLEAF has been burning up the track in her morning trials and if she races to them will give the winner some trouble. HAZE ran a good second to Gre*en Wares in her last out at Bowie and apj eared to tire after taking the lead. Hook for her to do well here. rilTITnTl reWTB aTiW FAEXZA and CUQOI appear to be the ones most likely to be returned the winner of this race, with the former holding a slight advantage. FAEXZA finished second to Blue Hill in his last Howie start and since then ! has had some fine workouts. CLIQCE is i now nearing top form and should FAEXZA fail, is the one expected to be home the I winner. EAGER was asked to carry 118 pounds in his last start and he found the ! task too much for him. Toelay he gets in with 10H and at that weight should give a better acocunt of himself. JA yiKS— SOCJARTH AROON— BILLY MANN. , In figuring probable winner of this race the last race of JACQCES has to be thrown out. The going was a liCle slow and he didnt seem able to get fully in his stride. The mile and a sixteenth distance of this I race is I»etter suited to him and he should make amends for his last defeat. SOO-GA11TI1 AROOX usually shows best over a fast track and for that reason is loked for to do better today. BILLY MAXX is gradually getting into winning form and should lie the one to save third money for his barn. FORONOVO— SHANGHAI— RISO VI A. FOItXOVO merely cantered home in his last race over the Bowie course and in his present good form is expected to prove a repeater. SHAXGHAI has not had a race ■ since Orlando closed and if the trip didnt take too much out of him he should be able to get a iK rtion of the purse. K17SOVIA hasnt shown much in his recent races but is said to be Hearing top form and ought to . l e able to take down the showen end of the purse.
