June 22.— Todays racing, brought off before a large attendance and under ideal weather conditions, saw the Audley Farm Stables Superfrank winner of the Palace Hotel Purse at a mile and severity yards, the principal race of the afternoon. L. T. Coopers Marconi was second and the Idle Hour Farm Stables Breakfast Bell third. Four others, including Kentucky Cardinal, started. The winners success was in the nature of a hollow victory, as Marconi raced extremely wide at the last turn, to lose a lead of more than a length, while Super-frank got through on the inside to wear him down near the end. Marconi was taken into the lead when Starbeck began to tire leaving the back stretch. Superfrank, forward from the start, raced in close pursuit as Marconi went into the lead and. when he-made his wide sweep at the last turn. E. Legere got through with the ultimate winner. Breakfast Pell ran at an even gait all the way. although her finish was fast, and it appeared she might have been closer up if she had made her challenge sooner. LACK SPEED. The unplaced ones offered nothing more than Starbecks dash of early speed. Kentucky Cardinal being forced back soon after the start, when Pural Iloute bore in and raced poorly after he settled into his stride. The opening race brought the first success for some time for the silks of Kay Spence, his three-year-old Prone departing from the non-winners division by defeating eleven maidens of his own age at three-quarters. The winner, ridden by K. l.egere. encountered some bad breaks during the early running, but came tfl the outside at the stretch and drew away. Peaches, another one Which suffered considerable interference, rushed into second place at the finish, while Watter-son Trail beat the others. Kosetta Stone slipptd through on the inside making the final turn and steadily raced away from eleven other two-year-olds to be an easy winner at the end of the second race. YVod Nymph showed the way in the early stages and outstayed Phil Foto for the place. The others with the single exception of Kob Johnston, which forced the early pace, raced greenly. THIUMIX; FINISH. Twelve of the poorest grade of platers here furnished a thrilling finish in the third with Allaire winner. She was ridden by I.,. raver and those who supported her received better than M to L Craver kept her well up from the start and her fast finish was too much for Frances Victoria. Gloria Quayle and the others. The latter displayed her best wpeed to the stretch where she began to tire. Tlie Pecoursey Purse at five-eighths, and given over to some of the better two-year-ord fillies here, provided .1. hT. Camdens Euphrasia with an opportunity to again join the winners division and to administer a decisive deft at to Mary Jane. Polly Sue and the four others which put ticipated. Euphra-sias margin over Mary Jane was rather small, but Willie Jarner was forced to take her over a rather long course getting to the stretch, where she raced through next to the rail and disposed of Polly Sue. the early-leader, and then gamely outstayed Mary Jane at the. end. The race was marred by a bad start, in which Polly Sue obtained much the best of IL E. Cebrians I.akme and jockey Krankie Maguire made up the successful duo in the Itayton Iurse. a dash of three-quarters under allowance conditions. Malcolm B. Jr.. which ran coupled with Shoshone, was the favorite here, but lost by a head. Queen Clara was third and Mayfair headed ..ie others.
