| LATONIA TURF NOTES LATONIA. Ky., June 22. Cal Milam got busy Tuesday morning and dispos -d of three of his horses Sarah Day. beaten favorite in the first race Mondav! was sold to R. R. Snowden. of Lexington, for ,000. Sheffield, a two-year-old l.rossn filly by St. Rock — Katherine Harlan, went to J. B. Respess. Samuel Stone, well-known Louisville businessman, who intends embarking in racing as an owner, bought Margaret D.. a two-year-old filly by Kriar Rock-Tulwar, and turned her over to Dan Lehau to train. Senator Norris was jumped upon in his race Monday and as a result sustained a couple of cuts on his left hind leg. Unless blood poison sets in. the horse will be on the shelf for only a week or ten days. The good sprinter Cibbons was returned to the .. K. Croissant stable here today after siM-nding several months at A. V. Thomas Karm near Louisville. The horse is going well iuw and will be prepared In summei racing. Vv. H. Karrick today advis. d latona officials that he would arrive at 1 atonia with W. R. Cocs sterling three-year-old filly Black Maria on June 29. The filly will be brought here to start in the rich Iatmiia Oaks, to be run Saturday, July ;:, and in which stake she wi.l probably be the choice. Col. Matt J. Winn is due to reach here from Chleaauj Kriday for a stay of several days.
