AKRON CARD MINUS FEATURE FEATUREClaiming Claiming Race Program Results in inExciting Exciting Racing Favorable FavorableWeather Weather and Large Crowd AKROX Ohio May 27 A series of claim ¬ ing races devoid of any special feature made up the card at Northampton Park this aft ¬ ernoon Large fields however paraded in all of the seven races which were productive of interesting contests The eighth race due to wholesale scratches was declared off offInterest Interest centered in the running of the seventh race which was the longest of the day J B Paynes HoHorry was returned a handy winner after disposing of Racing Star with little effort when on the stretch turn Warwick and Super Lady both came from behind to divide the minor portions of the purse purseWith With favorable weather for a welcome change the attendance was the largest of the meeting The track dried rapidly and should be in good shape by tomorrow tomorrowComing Coming fast when clear in the last eighth Flying Lulu overhauled Dr John Kenny to win the sixth race going away awayOverhauling Overhauling Sancho Pansy entering the stretch Mack Garner continued gamely and won the opening race going away Sancho Pansy held second place safe from Shadow Dance which came again when too late lateKalakaua Kalakaua raced up into a contending posi ¬ tion while on the far turn in the second and once in command held Terrible Man and Alexina the early leader safe when the stretch test came cameAlthough Although he led throughout Earl Pool was tiring rapidly and barely lasted to earn a close verdict from The Plainsman which finished fastest of all in the stretcth Star Girl close up throughout saved third place placeMoving Moving up gamely after rounding the far turn Crestwood Boy outfinished Dora Lutz when the stretch test came in the fourth race Klaxon finished fastest of all in third place having made up much ground groundAt At no stage of the fifth race was Zoona in trouble Trafagar was much the best of the others Mitzi McGee the favorite ran a bad race
