CRUSADER THE TOP WEIGHT Assigned 128 Pounds in Empire - City Handicap, Opening Day Feature at Yonkers. NEW YORK, N. Y., June 29. Crusader is topweight for the Empire City Handicap, the feature race for the opening day of the Empire City Racing Associations meeting, which is scheduled to open July 7. The Man o -War four-year-old-has 128 pounds, while Peanuts has been raised to 124,a jump of five pounds, for winning the Broomdale last Saturday. ;Sting, w.hich is not likely to go to the post, has 122 pounds, and then comes Macaw, at 120 pounds. Display, whose recent form has been first class, gets in at 115 pounds, while the three-year-old Sweepster has 110 pounds. It is of interest to note that Mr. Vbsburgh makes this son. of Sweep a two-pound better colt than Whiskery, whose weight .is 108 pounds, the same as the improving Senalado. An attractive4-trio at the-weights are Light Carbine, Dangerous and Cloudland at 101 pounds. Of the lighter weights that may go to the postpost, Sankari, 104 ; Sanford, 102 ; Dolan, 100, and Peter Peter,- 95 pounds; are in well. The Empire City Handicap is a race of. a mile and a quarter and was won; last ye3r by Peanuts with 112 pounds in the saddle. The fact that the son of Ambassador IV. has twelve pounds more up for this years renewal inaicates- the degree of improvement that the Aknusti crack had made in twelve months.
