Won handily; second and third driving. DOUBLE QUICK, away well and showing much speed from the start, passed ENCANTO and BRINKLEY when running out slightly on the stretch turn and, under good riding, held the race safe at the end. MILES PRIOR was forced to race slightly wide on the turns and finished fast when swerving in the last eighth, but barely lasted to save second place. ROLAND suffered from interference in the first three-eighths, but finished fast when clear. BRINKLEY tired badly in the last eighth. ANNIHILATOR was repeatedly taken back but finished well. HEAVY DATE set a fast pace and was hard ridden and, although finishing fairly well, was outfinished by the winner. SAILING SHIP came fast through the stretch and finished resolutely. EMBARRASS closed a gap and tired in the stretch. SPRING BUD had no mishaps. QUEEN" ROYAL tired badly in the last quarter. PEGGY BLEDSOE "rushed into the lead after the first three-eighths, but tired after reaching the stretch. SWORDSMAN had no mishaps. FINNSTER retired fast after reaching the stretch. BOBS BEST, on the extreme outside throughout, finished with a rush. DESPARD, shuffled back after going the first quarter, finished fast on the inside. ANTIQUARIAN, ran-well. NAMA tired in the stretch drive. DRY MOON was ridden wide and eased up in the stretch. THE ARAU-CANIAN was racing prominently when his rider lost a stirrup. . . SESQUI swerved in sharply in the last eighth and had to be taken up to avoid severe crowding of NOBLH WRACK. The latter saved ground where possible and was crowded by SESQUI in the last eighth. CHARGER, prominent from the start, raced BON BON into early defeat and tool: the lead, but gave way when challenged. BLONDE BEAUTY suffered from early interference and closed an immense. gap. BAYOU also came from far back. BELLE OF KY. was eased up sharply when finishing. PRETTY RUN, "BON BON and BOUTONIERE tired after racing five-eighths.
