BIG WAGER ON NASSAK According to Robert McClugage of Peoria, 111., who is interested in the Emil Herz future book" on the Kentucky Derby, the largest waiter made to date on any candidate for the big race was recorded Thursday, when ,000 was bet on the Rancocas Stables Nas-sak. ,000 to win, ,000 to place and ,000 to show. The Herz book took a goodly slice of this bet. which was made at 20, 8 and 4. Immediately the price on Nassak was cut to 12 to 1. The four heaviest backed horses in the Derby are Nassak, Reigh Count, Victorian and Typhoon. The latter recently engaged in a surprisingly good workout at Bowie and several big wagers at 40 and 30 to 1 have been made on him since that workout.
