KEENE JUVENILES PLEASE Owner Inspects Band of Two- Year-Olds at Churchill Downs — Foals Arriving Steadily. LOUISVILLE, Ky.. April G— John Oliver Keeue. owner of Keeiicland Stud, was a recent visitor to Cluiichill Downs to inspect his extensive .table, which has been in training at that track in the care of William Bust for several months. Mr. Keene was well pleased to note the good condition of his horses and the advanced stage of their training. He was particularly gratified over the splendid appearance of the two-year-olds in C~a .band, all of which were bred at Keeneland Stud. The arrival of quite a number of foals at the farm have kept Mr. Keene quite busy of late. Among the new arrivals is a chestnut fdly by Stefan the Great — Jeanne Bowdre. which Mr. Keene declares is one of the prettiest fillies he has ever seen. Other recent foals include a chestnut filly by Altawood— Miss Muffin: bay colt, by Pagan Pan— Acusha ; blr ck colt, by Pagan Tan — Ken-mare : bay filly, by Haste — Inquiry, and a bay colt, by Pagan Pan — Florienka. Mr. Keene also reported that Alice Blue Gown is due shortly to foal to Bight Brigade; Dona Roma is in foal to Sand Mole and Shades of Night is in foal to Carlaris. Shades of Night is one of the best bred mares on the farm, being a daughter of Duke McLuke — Twilight Queen. ! • ■ I •
