* aj I At Bowie One Best Bet — REJUVENATION — In the Fifth Race. fi r 1 has ,1: tl sc ■ as ei w !! it t ol its u up 0 of Ci h _ a rr be y to 0 Cl lt ■ A a o I: is he u n a e C J l to l ;, o of [" in r l A fine program has been arranged for the first Saturday of sport at the Prince Georges Park track. Three rr.ces under handicap conditions, one allowance race and three claiming affairs Brake up the days card. The feature race, the Capitol Handicap, attracted the test field of the day. Ten three-year-olds are entered to race over the seven-eighths distance. With such good ones Jack Higgins, Black Friar and Rosinante entered an interesting contest is looked for. The Old Dominion Handicap also has a well matched band entered. The distance of this race is one mile and soventy yards, and is open to hcrses from the older division. The Junior Purse, fashioned for two-year-olds, brings a gocd field to the post to show wares over the half-mile distance. If Mill THAIS SIT— SPORT— LETALONE. A good band of two-year-olds will hook in the Junior Purse, the opening race the day. RAPID TRANSIT gets the call here. He turned in a fast race to be home the winner in his first start here and repetition of that effort should find him making it two wins in a row. SPORT may the one to make RAPID TRANSIT race the limit to win. She is getting weight off and this should help her in proving a contender. LETALONE, an H. P. Whitney -bied youngster, may be the one to take down the short end of the purse. KNOCK A NY— GRACIOUS GIFT— LASSA. For the winner of the second race we are taking the consistent gelding, KNOCK-ANY. He has not been seen under colors this year, but he has been training well and his workouts indicate he is ready for one of his best races. GRACIOUS GIFT picking up four pounds in the weights over his win the other day. We doubt if can carry his added impost and take the measure of KNOCKANY. He should prove contender tor some part of the purse however. LASSA, on his race behind GRACIOUS GIFT, when they met the other day, seems best of the others for the show money. SENATOR NOURIS— ROSINANTE— CON T m PLATE. We are looking for SENATOR NORRIS take down the heners of the Highway Handicap. His first start, in which he finished third, should have done him a world good in tightening him up for todays race. He is a fast sprinter and, as he gets with a light impest, we think he will prove the winner. ROSINANTE is entered in two races and, should his trainer prefer to start him in this race, would figure as the danger of the race. CONTEMPLATE turned in an easy win over Poly in his first start and on that race has to be given a chance to upset the calculations again. SON OF JOHN is asked to carry too much weight and we do not look for him to prove a contender. BLACK FRIAR— GREENTREE STABLE ENTRY— JACK HIGGINS. A goodly band of three-year-olds will match strides in the Capitol Handicap, which calls for a sprint over the seven-eighths distance. BLACK FRIAR may be the one to be home the winner. His race in the Inaugural Handicap will have to be passed, for he got away to a poor start and in the large field had scant chance. We look for him to redeem himself in turning in one of his winning races here. The Greentree Stable entry of FALSE MODESTY and ROSINANTE figures next best. They are a dangerous pair in any kind of field. JACK HIGGINS prefers a route for his best effort, but we think he can hold the short end of the purse safe from the rest of the field in this contest. REJUVENATION— WELLET— PETER TETER. In the fifth race. REJUVENATION seems to stand out from the field entered. He turned in an impressive win in his first start, and he has but to race back to that effort to prove the easiest winner of the day. WELLET may be the one to give REJUVENATION the most argument. With his light impost he may cause REJUVENATION no end of trouble. The Greentree Stables PETER PETER has but to turn in his usual good race to account for some part of the purse. KANDUIT— GRAND BEY— PARCHESIE. The sixth race looks like the spot for the mare KANDUIT to get down in front. She turned in a good race the other day and, with that effort serving as a tightener, we look for her to lead this band of platers to the wire. GRAND BEY, on the way he won his last race, figures to give KANDUIT the most trouble. PARCHESIE likes a track other than fast for his best effort, but he should race well enough over the fast strip to hold the short end of the purse safe from the rest of the field. FIREDOG— DERONDA— FRANCES ROCK. We are looking for FIREDOG to prove a repeater in the seventh race. He is picking up weight off his last start, but we doubt if this will stop him from winning, should he race back to his last effort. DERONDA figures to fill the two hole for, taking a line on his first race here in which he finished a close up third to Scotland For-, ever, he should have little trouble in finishing up with the leaders here. FRANCES ROCK seems good enough to hold the others safe for the short end of the coin.
