! . , , r ; TO SCENE OF PREAKNESS NEW YORK. N. Y.. May 8.— The New York candidates for the Preakness Stakes, which will be shipped to Baltimore tonight, are Xassak, from the Rancccas Stable ; H. P. Whitneys Victorian, the Fair Stables Oh Say, and Distraction, from the Wheatley Stable. Oh Say and Nassak will go along in the same car. Nassak will be ridden by L. Fator. His final Long Island trial for the race was a mile in 1 :39% at Belmont Park. Victorian, which will be ridden by R. Workman, went a mile in 1 :40% and the extra eighth in 1 :54. Oh Say negotiated the mile and an eighth distance in 1 :52%. Distraction will receive his final test at Pimlico. A. Tascuma will ride Oh Say, while D. McAuliffe will have the mount on Distraction.
