L,EXINC,TON, Ky., May 18.— Many prominent persons from various points, en route to the Kentucky Derby race at Churchill Downs, Saturday, are spending today and tomorrow in I-exington for the purpose of visiting the important breeding establishments and inspecting the horses. Xot all are primarily interested in thoroughbred horses, for among them are many who have only trotters, while there are a few who fancy both thoroughbreds and trotters, which is to say, standard-bred. Among those who are more prominent on the light-harness turf than on the running turf, is A. H. Cosden, owner of Vito, a candidate for the Kentucky Derby, to be saddled by Max Uirseh, whose home is in New York and who is a leading figure in an important chain of drug stores. Trainer Hirad spent last night and a portion of today here also. Mr. C i.den has some harness horses in training in James Snells band at the Fair Grounds track here.
