A LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 18. Harry F. Sinclair, owner of the Raneocas stable and whose colors were carried to Kentucky Derby triumphs several years back, is to witness the fifty-fourth race of the fixture. Mrs. Payne "Whitney, who races a large stable of horses under the nom de course of Greentree Stable, and members of her family are expected from New York tomorrow. Mrs. Whitney will not have representation in the Derby for which she has made a number of unsuccessful bids with some notable racers. United States Senators Key Tittman and Arthur Robinson are included among the numerous notables that will be Derby Day guests of Governor Sampson. Carl Laemmle, motion picture magnate. Sir Henry and Lady Thornton of Montreal, arid Lloyd F. Lorseheim of Chicago have Derby Day reservations at the Downs. Nicola Sansadeld. president of the Federation of the Inter-Allied Veterans organizations ; Cen. R. I. Glgniliat, vice-president. and Maj. M. K. Gordon, chairman of the same federation, will be Derby Day guests of the local Jefferson Post of the American Legion. Governor Sampson has authorized C. Frank Dunn, secretary of the Kentucky Progress Commission, to show the famous thoroughbred farms and other attractions of the Blue Grass region of this state to visitors who will come to Louisville to witness the Derby. Among the notables Mr. Dunn will show through the breeding district will be Gov. Len Small of Illinois, Gov. Ed Jackson of Indiana, Gov. Harry F. Byrd of Virginia, Gov. Fred It. Zimmerman of Wisconsin, Gov. John S. Fisher of Pennsylvania, Mayor James Walker of New York City, Mayor William Hale Thompson of Chicago, and others. J. J. Coughlin. prominent Chicagoan and owner of one of the largest stables in training, arrived from his home yesterday. He will not have representation in the Derby, but is all set to pull for the numerous Windy City-owned horses after the prize. Willis Sharpe Kilmer, whose Exterminator won the Derby of 1918, is the only owner ot a Derby winner of the past ten years to have a starter In tomorrows race. Other owners whose colors have been carried to victory in the race during the past decade are Com. J. K. L. Ross, It. Parr, E. R. Dradley, Ben-jamin Block. Harry F. Sinclair. Mrs. It. MT I foots, Gifford A. Cochran and Harry Payne Whitney.
