SAXFORD raced under light restraint for the first half, then raced into the lead with a rush and ■won easing up. PIGEON WING II. was close up throughout and. racing SON OF JOHN into defeat, made a game finish. LETALONE saved ground on the turns and tired after making a challenge in the stretch. SPECTACULAR raced gamely. BLACK WATCH came wide when entering the stretch. CLOUD-LAND was bumped and crowded on the far turn and sulked afterwards. SON OF JOHN was eased up when beaten. BANGLE was saved close up until in the final half mile, then moved up with a rush when called on and. passing the leaders, won going away. EIDER saved ground and forced the pace all the way and came again under hard riding after getting out of close quarters. WAYFAIR came with a rush on the inside and swerved over to EIDER after taking the last jump and finished well. CANTERBURY ran a good race and finished well. BARLEYCORN raced well. TOMBEREAU forced the pace to the stretch and tired in the final drive. ZAHN raced into the lead and tired badly. SKIBO and MASTER STAR collided at the start and knocked each other out of any chance.
