ARRIVALS AT ARLINGTON Influx of Horses Intended for Meeting Opening July 1 Begins in Earnest. The Influx of horses Intended for the Ar* lington Park meeting that commences Monday next began in real earnest yesterday when four carloads from" various racing centers were unloaded without incident. The new arrivals included the W. T. Waggoner stable, which came from Aqueduct in charge of trainer C. E. "Boots" Durnell ; the Dixi-ana Stable of Admiral Cary T. Grayson and C. T. Fisher, in charge of Preston ML Burch, which came from Bainbridge Park, the stable of V. Sutro, which got in from Fairmount Park in the care of trainer H. A. Neal, and the stable of Mrs. E. L. Swikard, which came from Washington Park. The Dixiana Stable was headed by Voltear, which finished third in Saturdays Ohio State Derby, and is an eligible to the Classic at Arlington Park. Others in the stable were Balzar and Miss Fire, both eligible to the Cherry Circle Stakles : Hi Chick and Mucker, eligibles to the Hyde Park Stakes, and Irish Polly and Sweet Beam, intended starters in the Lassie Stakes. Steve ODonnell, who will ride for the stable here, also arrived Monday. The Sutro shipment included the speedy four-year-old Greenock, one of the best sprinters at the Fairmount meeting, and which is a potential aspirant for honors in the American National Handicap, to be run at Arlington opening day. Another horse in the Sutro consignment v, as the three-year-old Islam, an eligible to the North Shore Handicap. The string that trainer Durnell brought included Panchio, Prince Pat, Double Heart, Royal Ford, Vermajo and Calf Roper, all eligibles to the Classic: Bachelor Prince, Mix-Up, La Paloma, Kilkerry and Pagan God, and the following two-year-olds all of which are eligible to the juvenile stakes: Pansy Walker, Peters Pet, Water Lily, Texas Queen, Dixie Dreamer, Royal Pan and Line Rider. The stable of Mrs. Swikard was headed by Chip, a candidate for both the Classic and North Shore Handicap. Others included the five-year-old Duelist ; Show Down, eligible to the Post and Paddock and Hyde Park Stakes; and Bit o Worry and Little Rumpus, which are in the Lassie Stakes. Christopher J. Fitzgerald, well known eastern racing official, who will serve as one of the stewards at Arlington, will reach here from New York Tuesday morning. Arriving horsemen declare that Arlington track is one of the best and safest in the country. Trackman "Uilly" Myers has been expending much effort to bring the course to a high state of perfection.
