BELLI] RIVE began fast, but was forced back in the first eighth, saved much ground at the stretih turn, but swerved out sharply in the last sixteenth and outstayed SALUTA right at the end. SALlTA showed a good performance and was prominent throughout. MAT MAHONKY was gaining steadily in the stretch. HANDIWORKEK closed a big gap, though racing wide and finished gamely. COAL BLACK ROSE raced well. TARIFF closed a good gap. SUN MARY was taken out of it approaching the first turn and came gamely when hard urged in the stretih. SAtCI EWELL quit after half a mile. CBKNG TU, much 1 lie best, began well, but was taken out of it in the first quarter, moved up fnst ai.il. saving ground in the stretch, closed a big gap to finish coing much faster than the others.
