1 BOWIE TURF NOTES f j : $ BOWIE, Md., April 11. Capt. P. M. Walker has a band of two-year-olds in the paddock before the races every day. They are a lively, healthy band. The six horses that Harry Baker was training for Breckenridge Long were shipped from the farm to Havre de Grace today. Fifteen horses changed hands via the claiming route at Bowie, for which 4,000 was deposited in the claiming box. The horses Harry Rites is training for Griffwood Farm were transferred from Pim-lico to Havre de Grace. "Buster" Bedwell has arranged to transfer the horses of Steve Judge, Rancocas Stable, Dave Boyle, L. M. Severson and D. L. Harmon from Bowie to Havre de Grace. Jockey A. MeKechnie, who was developed by J. P. Smith, has again joined up with the latter and will ride the Dorwood Stable horses on the metropolitan tracks this summer.
