NEW YORK TURF NOTES $ NEW YORK, N. Y., April 28. William T. Anderson arrived from Kentucky, where he inspected fourteen horses, which he had wintered at Hinata Farm. A dozen of this band will be shipped here within the next fortnight. Joe McLennan came over from Havre de Grace and distributed the Arlington Park stake blanks among horsemen. McLennan left for Chicago later in the day. Alec Gordon stated that he would ship the Fair Stables Desert Light to Pimlico to fulfill his engagement in the Preakness. Walls has been retained to ride him. T. M. Cassidy stated that Crack Brigade would leave for Pimlico this coming Thursday. He vill be given a race as a part of his training for the Preakness at that point. Ellis has been offered the mount. H. C. "Doc" Riddle, who underwent on operation for appendicitis, will be discharged from the Mary Immaculate Hospital today. T. J. Healey came up from Redbank, N. J., for a days racing. He stated that he would ship sixty H. P. Whitney horses to Belmont Park Tuesday, next. Jockeys Robertson, Workman and Russell are with the stable.
