GENGHIS KHAN began fast, lost ground while keeping up in the first three-eighths, took the lead with a rush and held on gamely to outstay WINGO, but pulled up sore. WINGO displayed speed from the start, could not withstand the winner entering the stretch, but finished gamely and gained fast near the end. ESCONDIDA improved his position slowly and finished fast. GRANITE DUST moved up gamely approaching the final eighth, then tired. NIGHT CRY quit. BRUSHING tired after showing speed to the stretch. Overweights Escondida. 1 pound; Pin On, 3. TAN TrACE showed the most speed from the start under restraint to the stretch, where she drew out fast and won well in hand, SISTER MARY, also away well and kept forward, gradually disposed of ARROWLIKE, but was no match for the winner. The latter lost much ground on the first turn, moed up fast approaching the stretch, but tired thereafter. GALENIA had no mishaps. IRRITATION broke poorly and raced wide. ETON swerved repeatedly. SWEET BENONI was in close quarters oa the turn, but lacked speed when clear. TAYY was left, but raced after the others. LADY FINGERS began slowlv, was rushed up fast entering the stretch and tired under weak riding near tha end. NETIE PEBBLES quit in the final eighth. KATE GEARY showed early speed.
