WINDSOR, Ont., June 27.— Storm, the consistent four-year-old son of Audacious and Spray, racing for Mrs. H. Pyne, scored his third consecutive victory when he accounted for the Kenilworth Handicap. This was the feature attraction on the opening days program at Kenilworth Park, and was run over the one mile and a sixteenth distance. Of the seven named overnight. Strong-heart and Uncommon Gold were withdrawn, leaving a field of five to strive for the ,500 prize. Storm conceded considerable weight to every other starter. Mrs. R. L. Rogers much improved Finnic raced to second place, and third fell to Butter John, from the stable of Mrs. C. Crane. From the start it was Finnic that set the pace, with Bonfield racing next, while Masterly was heading Storm and Butter John was in the rear. There was no material change in the running position until passing the half mile post, where Bonfield called it day and began dropping back. On the far turn Finnic was still well in front, but Ralls had begun moving up with Storm, and Midway on the turn was in second place. Finnic still showed in front at the furlong post, but Storm was gaining at every stride. It was not until right before the finish line was reached that Ralls managed to get the Pyne color bearer to show in front. Butter John had made up considerable ground, but was still three lengths back of Finnic at the end. Despite the intense heat it was a remarkably large crowd that journeyed to Kenilworth to welcome back the thoroughbreds. The track, drenched from the heavy rain or Friday, was still slow. There was a disqualification in the third race on the program when Guerra, on The Dippej, sharply interfered with The Doctor when the latter was moving up in the stretch. Ralls, on the latter, was forced to take up sharply to avoid going down. The Dipper, after being first to pass the finish line, was set back, awarding first place to The Doctor. Rare Charm, which finished third, was moved into second place, and Nevermore was placed third.
