SEAGRAMS HAVE BANNER DAY Waterloo Establishment Again Monopolizes Features at Hamilton — Khorasan and Soil Gills Win. HAMILTON, Ont, June 27. — The Seagram Stable had another of its banner days at the Hamilton Jockey Club course today when Khorasan was winner of the Prince of Wales Handicap, considered the main event on the half-holiday card. Soil Gills, the imported ebony-hued three-year-olds, showed a return to his best form by scoring a decisive victory in the race of secondary importance, which was the Humberside Purse. In addition Visionary Hour finished third in the York Plate. The Prince of Wales Handicap was the first of the dual features and was run as the fourth race. Little time was lost at the barrier, and from a good beginning, Aziz and Bad News Bob went out to set the pace and they raced along closely lapped. Approaching the far turn Phillips made his first charge at the leaders, and on moving into the homestretch had drawn up on even terms. Shaken up for the final furlong, Khorasan was equal to his task and readily assumed command, to be winner by a length, and Bad News Bob held on long enough to beat Omareen by a nose for second. Soil Gills had an easy time in the Humberside Purse when he took command from Judge Bartlett after six furlongs, and under E. Legeres guidance, galloped past the winning mark to score by four lengths. Mon-tanaro, from the H. C. Hatch barn, like Bad News Bob, was the runner-up, and R. H. News Wrackell led the four others for third. a —
