JEFFERSON PARK NOTES : Prometheus, entered for the sixth race on Fridays Jefferson Park program, was not eligible for the event, and racing secretary Reeder ordered him withdrawn. For his failure to break in the sixth race Thursday the stewards ordered the further entry of Club House refused. A carload of horses, the property of the Reichert Brothers of Belleville, 111., passed through here last night en route from Tan-foran to Hialeah Park. Jockey C. Turk, with the Reichert stable, spent a short time between rail connections here. Apprentice J. Neel, fully recovered from minor injuries received in a fall here a few days ago, resumed riding Friday. V. Roussell reported ill and received permission to cancel his engagements for Friday afternoon. According to word received here James Paul, former assistant to D. E. Stewart when the latter was trainer of the stables of J. N. Camden, died at Lexington last Saturday.
