Patterson arrived at Hialeah Park with a division of fifteen horses, which include Sun Memory, Inferno Lad, Montgomery Maid, Kerry Green, Melody Hour, Chicago Girl and nine two-year-olds. , Frank Stevens, who is superintending the installation of the catering service at Hialeah Park for his father, Harry M. Stevens, reports that his equipment in club house and grandstand will be in working order early next week. Racing secretary J. S. Wallace has assigned Jay Evans and Emmet Hileman, of his staff, to receive licenses for the Hialeah Park meeting. The final color touch was added to the beautiful paddock vista at Hialeah Park when a top dressing of burnt sienna-hued tanbark was laid in the walking ring. This rich, deep tone adds striking contrast to the exotic tropical landscaping of the enclosure. Racing secretary J. S. Wallace will announce the weights for the Hialeah Inaugural Handicap Saturday. Sixty-one nominations were received for this event and all but one, Charleigh, are on the grounds. W. P. Pierce, who represents the Florida State Commission in charge of the gates, and Walter McGiff, representative of that body in the mutuels, are daily visitors at Hialeah Park, clearing up the details attendant to the opening of the Miami Jockey Clubs meeting here January 14. William Wallace, brother of the Hialeah Park racing secretary, arrived in Miami from New York yesterday. Charles A. Munn, president of the Automatic Totalizator, Inc., which is installing its system at Hialeah Park, will be host to local and out-of-town writers at a luncheon which will be tendered in the Hialeah club house Friday, January 15. Knight Commander, which carried the Peconic Stables colors to many handicap triumphs in the West last summer, is reaching his peak form in training at Hialeah fcark. 1
