I TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES t 4 Roy Walden, after spending several days here with his family, returned to Columbia, S. C, where the horses he is handling, are in winter quarters. J. P. Smith, who is sojourning at Hot Springs, Ark., writes that he will be here the latter part of the month for a couple of weeks before leaving for Aiken, S. C, to take up the big band of racers he has there for his employer, Victor Emanuel. Trainer E. Fred reports that Water Way will be on the shelf for a couple of weeks. The injured ankle is responding to treat- ment. Dr. Cann, the well-known Kentucky veterinarian, was an arrival from Lexington. W. M. Brannon, another Kentuckian, is here and plans to remain for a month or six weeks. The Brannon racers were retired into winter quarters at the conclusion of "-e Latonia meeting.
