UNDERDUN, suddenly improved and benefiting through tactics of her rider, missed the early crowding, set the early pace under light restraint, but was overtaken when bearing out slightly on the stretch turn and, impeding RAVE in the closing eighth, outlasted her. The latter, in close quarters early, bore in sharply entering the back stretch, came through on the inside and, taking the lead on the stretch turn, held on well despite interference in the final drive. BUNYORA, impeded shortly after the start, moved up boldly on the slrotch turn, raced resolutely thereafter. COLONEL CAMPUS had a rough race and little chance. MATTHEW showed speed and was racing well when forced back as BLIGHTER quit on the far turn and did not recover. BLIGHTER quit badly in the final half mile.
