Lehmann, president of the Arlington Park Jockey Club, has issued the final call to horsemen throughout the country for nominations, to seven important Arlington Park Stakes, which close Tuesday, March 15. Practically all of the great racing establishments already have sent in their entries to the Arlington Park executive offices here, and the remainder are expected in the mails before the deadline Tuesday at midnifjht. Chief of the seven stakes is the Classic, which with 0,000 added will be the richest race for three-year-olds decided anywhere in the world this season. This also is true of the trio of important events for throe-ycar-olds and older horses, the Stars and Stripes and Arlington Handicaps, also the Arlington Gold Cup. The sum of 0,000 is added to each of these events. The Classic, Gold Cup and Arlington Handicap all are at one mile and a quarter, while the Stars and Stripes, which annually features the program offered on July 4, is at one mile and a furlong. Fillies and mares will have their opportunities in the Arlington Oaks, and the Arlington Matron Handicap. The former event is for three-year-olds of the reputed minor sex, tnd is at one mile and an eighth with 5,000 added, while the handicap is open to older ones and is a mile dash with ,500 added. The last of the seven stakes closing Tuesday is the Hyde Park Stakes, a 0,000 added sprint of five and one-half furlongs for all classes of juveniles.
