LAWYER, away forwardly, forced a fast early pace and, taking command with a rush entering the stretch, opened up a winning lead and won as his rider pleased. BROOKSIE, hustled to the front in the first quarter, saved ground while in front, but was no match for the winner when challenged. MEDICINE BOW, hard ridden throughout, held on resolutely. DONNY JOHNNY, slow to get going, finished with a belated rush. MAKE SPEED was also going resolutely at the end. PASS IN REVIEW had no excuses. COOTS was forced wide all the way. JACK HOWE, racing improved, took command in the first eighth and, shaking off repeated challenges in. the early stages, responded gamely and outlasted THE HEATHEN. The latter worked his way up on the outside on the back stretch, then swerved to the rail on the turn, saved ground entering the stretch, but could not overhaul the winner PRINCETON, shuffled back early, gradually improved his position on the outside, lost ground entering the stretch, but finished fastest of all. DEDICATE, knocked off his stride after the start, closed a big gap. GAN LEE, close up for half a mile, tired. MORDEN had a rough race. Scratched 69071 Bad Axe, 111.
