Improved weather conditions caused trainer Claude Hunt, of the Knebelkamp Stable, to breeze Delivered, his Derby charge, a half-mile in company with Last Act. He turned his first quarter in :26 and went on easily out the half in :51. Other Derby candidates were given long slow gallops.
