PRECEDE displaced NELSON midway of the far turn and, responding to hard pressure in the closing eighth, just lasted to withstand MY BETTY. The latter worked her way up steadily and finished with a rush. JANE ELLEN held on well after taking a short lead in the closing eighth. HIDDEN THOUGHTS, in close quarters in the stretch, finished fast. FAIR ORB showed a good performance. GOLDEN LIGHT could not menace the leaders. MILLIONCHATS was moving up near the end, but stumbled and almost unseated his rider. NELSON tired after five-eighths. SEEMEGO could not endanger the first two. MEANY raced evenly. ARCHWOOD closed fast. PRECIOUS DOLLAR was away slowly and could not reach early contention. LACQUER raced well. PRINCESS ZELDA, hard urged to take a forward position, was given a breathing spell when PRINCELY ATTENTION was hard urged to take command and, responding gamely for the final drive, regained the lead and outlasted FAIR DAWN. The latter, racing forwardly in the early stages, closed fast. POPCORN, rated along for three-quarters, closed gamely. FLYING ZENO closed a gap when clear of interference. -ST. TUSCAN closed a gap in the late stages. PRINCELY ATTENTION had too much taken out of him to reach the front. FOURTH WARD raced evenly. ZEAL tired. GOLD MINT was never a factor. SCOT FREE closed fast. The latter went wide into the stretch, but finished well. ON LEAVE, slow to start, reached contention with a rush and finished gamely. FAIR THORN, unable to reach a forward position in the early stages, closed fast. BY PRODUCT challenged on the far turn. INDIAN DANCE showed a good performance. VALOUR H. quit. BRIGHT BEAUTY showed a good performance and appears to be in good condition. BERBER could not improve his position. SILVERY was outrun.
