1 LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES ! R. S. McLaughlin is sending eleven yearlings from Oshawa to Harry Giddings at Woodbine. R. W. R. Cowie has already shipped two from Oakville to the same trainer, while there is. five or six more to come from the Oakville stable. The four now at Woodbine are said to be the most likely looking youngsters seen this fall. Three of the McLaughlin yearlings were purchased at the Saratoga sales. Apprentice W. Cook accepted his first mount of the Canadian season astride Loys Ormont in the fourth race Friday. Apprentice N. Hlynsky, a newcomer from western Canada, was seen astride Captice in the sixth race Friday. Condition books for the forthcoming Duf-f erin Park meeting will be available at Long Branch Saturday.
