BIOTA, away well, was rated close up and, responding to pressure, wore down LITTLE CONNELLY and held on well to outlast AXTEL, though bearing over. The latter, probably best but poorly ridden, began slowly and was in the deeper going throughout, improved his position and, coming up on the inside, was in close quarters near the end. SIZZLING, slow to start and far back for five-eighths, closed with a rush. LITTLE CONNELLY, in tha worst going most of the way, showed speed, but tired in the last eighth. MISSIE, forced back on the turn, closed resolutely. SUNNY SIDEUP quit. PRINCE SULIEMAN quit badly after showing speed for five-eighths. RED CINDERS was outrun. ROSE GLORY, a factor from the start, raced very wide on the turn, but held on well under a hard drive. NEW BABY began slowly and, closing well, wore down STATELY LADY in the final strides. The latter showed speed, but tired in the stretch. BRIGHT CHESTNUT, on the inside throughout and restrained for half a mile, failed to rally when hard urged. TEA TOPICS was in close quarters early. LUCILLE WRIGHT began fast, but met interference and, forced back, did not recover. LINCOLN FIELDS Continued from third vage. BIG PLAY raced wide but, always in the better going, improved his position after three-eighths and, wearing down the leaders, won under strong urging. AMERICAN QUEEN also raced wide and finished fastest of all. GUNFIRE, on the inside most of the way and never far back, held on fairly well. WINNIE C. began slowly, saved ground entering the stretch and held on well. POLYP had no mishaps. TADDY-WAWA began well, but did not threaten. FORGET NOT quit badly. LAWYER showed early speed.
